Build the operator surfaces that make our AI transparent and controllable — trace views, challenge ledgers, approval queues, and the interfaces a regulator sees. Your UI is where trust in AI is earned.

About the role

The Zentis platform is judged on the surfaces operators and regulators actually look at: the trace view that shows every span of a run, the challenge ledger where the adversarial agent writes its objections, the approval queue a decision officer works from, and the defence file a regulator is shown. These interfaces have to be honest — no dark patterns, no hiding a failed step behind a pretty chart.

You will build these surfaces in React and TypeScript, working closely with backend engineers on the data contracts they emit. You care about performance (these views render thousands of spans), accessibility, and the craft of making complex state visible at a glance.

Key responsibilities

Build and maintain complex, data-dense operator dashboards
Design intuitive UX for reviewing agent traces, approvals, and audit trails
Collaborate with designers, PMs, and backend engineers to ship polished experiences
Ensure performance, accessibility, and reliability across the platform
Contribute to a shared component library and design system
Build interfaces that hold up under regulator-grade scrutiny

Required skills

3+ years of frontend engineering experience
Expert in React (or Next.js) and TypeScript
Strong HTML, CSS, and modern JS fundamentals
Experience with state management (Zustand, Redux, React Query, TanStack)
Familiarity with data visualization libraries (D3, Recharts, Visx)
Strong sense of UI/UX, design systems, and accessibility (a11y)
Experience consuming REST/GraphQL APIs and WebSockets

Nice to have

Experience building observability, audit, or workflow tooling
Familiarity with monorepos (Turborepo, Nx) and testing (Playwright, Vitest)
Exposure to AI/LLM interfaces (chat UIs, trace viewers, evaluation dashboards)
